Positive Thought 10/7/2018
Today’s positive….to read the banter between my daughters in our messenger group is a joy; the oldest on a holiday in Japan and the youngest doing a short roadtrip across the US. The adventures and the fun both are having makes me smile. So glad they are having these marvellous opportunities.
Travelling is a great educator and such fun.

Today’s positive….in spite of feeling a bit tired today after a big weekend I do feel very proud.
I managed to finish my submission to the Richell Prize ahead of schedule and sent it off yesterday afternoon

Certainly a lot more work than expected but a great exercise, and I am feeling proud.

Today’s positive…. social media is hilarious sometimes. The other day this guy wanted to connect with me on a dating site and today a Prince Harry wants to follow me on Twitter.

Today’s positive…..just enjoyed a beautiful hot stone massage by Karen Ewings @ Heaven On Earth. Best way to spoil yourself a little. Feeling content and happy.

Today’s positive…..booked myself into a bookclub evening at a local bookstore next week. Got the book ‘The Hate U Give’ by Angie Thomas…now I just have to read it 🙂 Looking forward to a weekend full of reading and writing.

Today’s positive …having dinner at a friends place tonight. Lovely treat breaking up the working week. Met her “warm shower” guest. A beautiful idea amongst bicycle riders around the world based on a kind of Kharma system. Providing free accomodation to fellow bike riders. Great way to reduce the travelling cost, meet interesting locals and get good riding/travelling tips. Always good to see humans caring for other humans.

Today’s positive….Wordpress sent me a note to congratulate me on six years with WP. Reminded me that I actually set up my first WP blog as a journal on my first trip back to Denmark after 17 years here in Australia. It was just for me and girls to read.
I’ve just been reading some of the post. So pleased I have it as it was a special trip; it reconnected me with my family and the country I grew up in. And best of all it paved the way to more trips since.
Sharing this short post I wrote as I travelled across the countryside by train on the way to my hometown. I was so excited and overwhelmed.
***We are speeding through the Danish country side and while Im taking in the scenery passing in front if my eyes Ive got a myriad of emotions speeding through my body. The rolling mass of greenery, pine trees, willows and farmland splattered with cute little farmhouses with steep rooves to combat the winter snow, fields of flowers whose names Ive long forgotten but still awakes a dormant memory cell. This is the first time Ive experienced Denmark in the summertime since I was 21 and the images before me brings me right back. It is beautiful it is green and lush the sky is both blue and grey. It is summer in Denmark!***
