Today’s positive was stepping out of my comfort zone and submitting my photo to the Canon Light Award. I didn’t win but I felt like a winner just by submitting and being reviewed and critiqued. Brief was for a natural urban landscape shot with more than one story. Mine was “composting or littering Mother Earth”
A great learning experience. Now I just need to find the same guts and polish up my novel for submission.
Today’s positive was attending Tony Hewitt’s masterclass and participating in the 24 hour Canon Light Award challenge. Such an interesting and inspirational photographer and speaker.
Today’s positive is finishing a hectic week with drinks, footy and friends at a local club. Perfect start to our Queens birthday long weekend.
Today’s positive is getting a notification saying my site has received 1337 likes. Might be a funny number to celebrate, but I would like to thank each and every one of you who like, comment and follow my blog. It is truly apprecited and keeps me inspired.

Today’s positive is being inside with the heater on watching State of Origin game while winter is showcasing it’s cold and rainy weather outside. An extra positive is we are leading against QLD 😁👏
Today’s positive is the generosity and kindness of a couple of friends who came tonight to help me carry down an old BBQ for the council clean up. Did not phase them one bit that it was dark, cold and raining. Worth their weight in gold.
Todays’s positive would have to be discovering a new podcast on writing called Story Grid. Kept me entertained on my drive to work this morning. Always on the lookout for new podcasts. Do you have a favourite?
Today’s positive was chatting to my sister via messenger. Two sisters on opposite sides of this earth sharing our lives, hopes, frustrations and beautiful moments. 1.5 hour well spent this afternoon filling my heart and making me smile. ❤️
Feel good about finishing a short story this afternoon for the June Furious Fiction competition.
Always fun. This time the story just had to start with the scene in this photo. 
I’m hooked on the TV series The Handmaid’s Tale. Such a terrifying concept.
My biggest problem today was to have enough self control to say no to the office afternoon cake! First world problem!
